No Sequins, No Problem! I think we all know that I have no problem donning sequin everything all year around, but most people shy away from them even during the Holidays. My favorite alternative...metallic!! This bronze skirt is the perfect mix between shimmer, shine, glitz & glam! I love that in the shade it's bronze, but once it hits the light the metallic sheen really comes to life!

And I saved the best manicure of the year for last! I didn't really mean to & honestly when I started doing this manicure at 10:15pm on Friday night I really had no ideas in my head other than that I wanted to use red & green polish! Then this amazing creation happened!! I'm obsessed...& you should be too because it's SOOO easy to recreate!!

  1. Paint your nails a festive red shade & let them dry.
  2. Paint the tips of your nails (it doesn't have to be perfect) with glitter green polish.
  3. Take a makeup sponge and paint a little bit of green polish on the corner and stamp it on the tip of each nail. This will make it so the green disappears into the red instead of there being a line.
  4. Paint over green glitter with gold glitter polish to make transition between 2 colors smoother!

East vs. West Style: Holiday Hostess

I like to get a extra dressed up if I'm hosting a party during the holiday season...not only because well I'm the Hostess BUT because I don't have to worry about braving the elements to get to the party...hello falsies, extra high heels & no tights! Then again I live in NY and going outside in the 35 degree weather without a coat to take photos just wasn't going to happen!! I'm actually happy I threw on a coat because I may have never discovered my love for the color combination of rich burgundy & bright red! I definitely was a Hostess with the Mostess at my Holiday Brunch over the weekend in this lace number, I got nothing but compliments on this fun party dress (& all the amazing food we served!)

Early this year I pinning this image (along with everyone else that uses Pinterest), & I've been holding off on recreating it because I knew it would be the perfect Holiday look! While my first instinct is to reach for red lipstick during the holidays, this deep wine color is festive & will make you stand out in a crowd. I wasn't sure if bronze shadow & dark lipstick would be too much, but they compliment each other perfectly without going overboard! What makeup look are you going to try out during the Holidays?
  1. Prime face with Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray (c/o) to prep skin for foundation. Using a Foundation Brush apply Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation to entire face. Conceal under eye circles with IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer (c/o).
  2. Benefit Hoola Bronzer (c/o) to hollows of cheeks and around hair line. Dust Vincent Longo Dew Drop Radiant Blush in Sandalwood (c/o) to apples of cheeks. Set makeup with Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (c/o).
  3. Prime eyelids with BA Star Eye Glue (c/o). Apply BA Star Bronze Shadow (c/o) to entire lid & blend, also apply lightly along lower lashes. Line upper lashes with Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner. Line waterline with Chella Highlighter Pencil. Curl lashes with mark. Make Me Lash Eyelash Curler. Prime upper & lower lashes with 3 coats of Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer (c/o) followed by 2 coats of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (c/o) in black. Apply Ardell Accent Lashes. Groom and fill in brows with Benefit Brow Zings
  4. Finish lips with mark. Make It Rich Lip Pencil in Royale (similar).

Can you even believe there's less than 2 weeks until Christmas? Time is flying & I'm trying to cram in all of the Holiday activities I can including finishing up my shopping & hosting a Holiday Brunch (Follow me on Instagram for all the party pics tomorrow!) For my last Gift Guide of the season I wanted to talk about the little things that always seem like the most exciting to open! I remember as a kid waking up and running to my stocking to find a tiny gift inside, I'm pretty sure I was more excited about that than the big gift sitting under the tree! Just because I've grown up (a little) doesn't mean I still don't get excited when I see a tiny wrapped present sticking out of the top of my stocking! These special little gifts are perfect inexpensive last minute purchases.

Yesterday was all about the Glam Girl, today is all about the Homebody! While I love all things sparkly & would definitely consider myself a glam girl, I definitely am a homebody at times! Who doesn't love a great Comfy & Cozy gift, especially around the holidays! New PJs, furry slippers, a warm cozy blanket...sign me up!!
