wine country

Crossing the Golden Gate. Love it! I wish it was warm enough to walk it. If I ever go back to San Francisco the first thing on my list of things to do is walk across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Must have had too much champagne & forgot to take pictures...
Bay Bridge back to San Fran & to the airport.

Bye Bye San Francisco. Hopefully I'll see you soon...

Off to LA tomorrow for 12 Days.

day 5 in san fran.

Our 5th day in San Francisco was spent walking, walking and more walking.
We sipped coffee in Union Square & fell in love with the giants heart statues everywhere...
If you haven't noticed I've taken a million street sign photos in the city. I especially loved the ones in Chinatown because the street light and pole were beautiful!
We ate lunch in NorthBeach & visited the Church that Marilyn Monroe & Joe Dimagio got married in. I wished it was a little warmed so we could lay on the lawn to rest for the GIANT hill we were about to walk up...
The hill to Coit Tower was so steep the sidewalks had stairs! Looking down from the top I don't know how we made it...
Coit Tower. I think we were the only idiots that actually walked to it rather than drove!
View of the city from the top of Coit Tower...
Oakland Bay Bridge from the top of Coit Tower...
Golden Gate Bridge from the top of Coit Tower. No fog in site...
The walk down from the tower was much more enjoyable. Fell in love with this brown house. When can I move in??
Lombard St. "The Crookedest Street" Could you imagine living on this street!!
We made our way back to Fisherman's Wharf just in time for dinner...
& dessert at Ghiradelli Square.

My horoscope for next week says, "Think less and feel more."

Right now that makes a lot of sense.

1969

In love with my new Gap 1969 Washed Denim Jacket. I've been in search of the perfect worn in denim jacket after the sleeve of mine ripped 2 months ago. I've had the other one for over 5 years and it was my favorite go to jacket! I think this one will be a perfect replacement, its so soft and fits perfect! Too bad it was 90+ degrees today or I would've worn it right out of the store! Thinking of cutting the sleeves off my old one and making it a vest...I'll let you know how it goes...

alcatraz

One of the coolest things we did in San Francisco was take the night tour of Alcatraz, the infamous prison that lies on an island about a mile off shore. The boat ride to the island had beautiful views of the city and bridges, but you definitely felt the water. Between the wind & the water from the ocean and bay meeting it was no smooth ride. It amazed me that prisoners actually tried to ESCAPE from the island and swim to shore!! There is no record of anyone who actually escaped successfully but 5 prisoners went missing and either there bodies are on the bottom of the bay or they are alive and well. Alcatraz was a working prison until the 1970s and not only did the prisoners live there but the guards & their families lived there too!! Could you imagine growing up on an island that houses 200 inmates.

I highly recommend the tour of Alcatraz if you are planning a trip to San Fran in the future.
In love with this picture.

fisherman's wharf.

Trolley!!! I actually got to ride the trolley the first time I went to San Francisco but it wasn't half as cool as when we took it this time. Maybe it was because I got to ride on the outside this time but its definitely a mix of scary and fun riding up and down the too steep hills of San Fran. I can't even believe that the operators just let the car go when you are going down the hills. It definitely scared the crap out of me, but I guess when people visit NY for the first time and ride the subway or in a crazy NY cab they must feel the same way.
We took the trolley down to Fisherman's Wharf for a day filled with food, food and more food! Had to have my family try In N Out Burger for lunch! I think I was the only one in the place that was ordering off the secret menu, I felt like a real West Coaster ordering 2 Protein Burgers & Animal Fries when everyone else just stared at my tray when they called my number! If you haven't had a Protein Burger and you live on the West Coast you are missing out!! I wish wish wish they would just give in and open up an In N Out on the East Coast. (And a Coffee Bean but thats a whole different conversation). Also filled up with some chowder in a sourdough bread bowl (even though I only could have a taste because I'm slightly lactose intolerant!) & ended the night with the best crab cakes I've ever had & made a mess with cracking a famous dungeness crab.
Windy as can be! If you look close you can see the fog covered Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.

steve madden annton

Obsessing over these Steve Madden Peep Toe Wedges!! Looking for the perfect outfit to wear them with once I buy them. Too bad I could never afford this Alexander Wang off the shoulder sweater! A girl can dream...

puppies

I can't believe the puppies are 11 weeks old already!! They were so tiny when we got them & I guess I haven't realized how big they've gotten until I look at the pictures of when we brought them home at 8 weeks old & how different they look now! Time flies. Cali is a Chocolate Lab & Bella is a Black Lab, they are sisters their mom is a Chocolate Lab & their Dad is a Yellow-Red Lab. They are as cute as can be but definitely fight like siblings! I'm so sad that I'll be away for 12 days in August...my mom & brother better take daily photos of them and send them to me!
Cali & Bella 8 Weeks.
Bella 8 Weeks.
9 Weeks.
Cali 9 Weeks.
10 Weeks.
Cali 10 Weeks.
Cali 11 Weeks.
Bella 11 Weeks.

They are so crazy but I love them! I've been trying to get a good picture of them together but by the time I get my camera they are either fighting with each other or are laying on opposite sides of the room! Happy 11 Week Birthday Girls! I wish they could stay this little forever!
