Help...I need a new camera!

I've had my trusty Canon G10 for about 4 years now & I think its time to trade up to a DSLR; problem is...I have NO idea which one to get!!!!! I definitely plan on still keeping my G10 for personal use because the landscape & scenery photos it takes are BEAUTIFUL, but I need to step up my game when photographing for my blog!

I'm partial to Canons & Nikons just because I've had them in the past and I love the picture quality, but other than that I'm LOST!!!

I need your help...
What camera do you use for your blog photographs? What do you suggest as my first lens?

I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Photo Diary: Indianapolis

Let me start off by saying I'm seriously not a football fan at all. I don't have a favorite team & I don't follow it or watch it. So when my uncle asked me if I wanted to go to Indianapolis for the weekend for Colts Opening Day my immediate answer was, "No". Then he bought me a ticket anyway!

I've only driven though Indiana before, and I've never been to Indianapolis so why not make the best of it! Indianapolis definitely freaked me out a little. When we got to the city it was literally a ghost town...I joked that they could film one of those "end of the world" movies there and wouldn't have to notify anyone. I guess being used to big cities it was a bit of a shocker. Then Sunday arrived and it was a sea of blue outside of our hotel. It's definitely safe to say that Indianapolis is a football city.

I didn't take many pictures but here's a peek into our football adventure...

The only photo I'm in the entire trip / The perfect "Colts" blue polish that arrived in my Birchbox the day before I left - Birchbox & Color Club Custom Polish "Insta-This"  / The hotel we stayed in was apparently an old train station...when we got there we found out FREIGHT TRAINS still run through!!!! Needless to say I was woken up out of my sleep multiple times thinking it was an earthquake / Sight Seeing

mark. Makeup Monday: Punch

I'm currently in Indianapolis for the Colts' Opening Game & I was REALLY tempted to do a blue shadow look, but I decided against it. Maybe next week...hope you enjoy bronze & mossy green for now!

As always its mark. Monday & all the products I used to create this look are mark.

1. Prep lids with Please Hold Primer, apply from lash line to brow & along lower lashes. Apply iMark Eyeshadow in Minx to entire lid & along lower lashes. Apply iMark Eyeshadow in Moss to crease & blend with a blending brush, then apply very close to lower lashes. Tightline along your upper lashes with Keep It Going Longwear Liner in Entourage (the black shade), then take Keep It Going Longwear Liner in Surreal & line your upper lashes and extend line slightly beyond corner of eye with the bronze shade. Highlight under brow with iMark in Ice Age. Apply 2 coats of mark. Lash Act Mascara on upper & lower lashes. (Check out my review of mark. Lash Act Mascara.)
2. Moisturize skin with mark. For Goodness Face Moisturizer & prime your face with Primed for Perfection Face Primer to prep skin for foundation. Using a Foundation Brush apply Got the Goods Multi-Benefit Foundation Lotion SPF 15 to entire face. Apply Conceal For Real Concealer under eyes & around nose. Set the foundation with Matte-Nificent Oil Absorbing Powder.
3. Apply Just Blushing Powder Brush in Dollhouse to cheekbones then above eyebrows.
4. Apply mark. Make It Rich Lip Crayon in Punch on lips to finish off the look. (Check out my review of mark. Make It Rich Lip Crayons for swatches of all of the shades.) Finish lips with a coat of Glow Baby Glow Lip Gloss in Pink Crush.
