I don't know about you but my hands & nails take a beating in the harsh winter weather. Over the past few months I've been religious about applying lotion to my hands, but that doesn't seem to be enough lately. After removing my gel manicure 2 weeks ago my nails were looking especially rough, but thanks to this Winterize your Nails tutorial they are finally getting back to a healthy state (just in time for V-day nail art!)
I started off by cutting all my nails to a short slightly rounded shape because they were constantly breaking. Then I removed my cuticles with Julep's Vanish Cuticle Softener & Remover, the greatest product ever, especially for those who don't like to cut their cuticles, this literally melts them away. Lastly I used Brilliance Glycolic Scrub to exfoliate dirt, oil & dead skin and reveal brighter, smoother skin.
Daily I've been applying Rock Star Hand Cream & Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum to protect my hands, nails & cuticles from the elements and keep them hydrated & healthy. I decided on this glossy gray & metallic french manicure after keeping my nails bare for a couple of days! Figured I'd go for something dark before I break out all of my favorite pinks & reds for Valentine's Day!
