Yesterday I talked about how the arrival of chilly, brisk Fall weather makes me want to put on my decorating hat and create beautiful seasonal tablescapes. But this perfect Autumn weather also means it's officially cape season, or what I like to call "acceptable to wear a blanket in public" season and while it's not that chilly, the second I switched my summer and winter clothes I've been wearing my favorite ponchos non-stop. And since my office might as well be the arctic (yes they still have the air conditioner on), I can guarantee I'll be a repeat offender when it comes to this trend just like I was last year.
I was really excited to add this plaid fringe cape to my closet this season because it's red plaid (a holiday staple!) and it's a little longer than the ones I already have. Another new item to make it's way into my closet are these new Naturalizer boots! As you know Naturalizer is one of my favorite boot brands because not only are all of their shoes amazing quality, but they offer wide calf options in pretty much every style!
Last year I wore my Jamison brown boots to death (see here, here, here, here...) so I was really excited about getting a new pair! I opted for something with a slightly pointier toe and small heel and can't wait to wear them more. Also I'm thinking of doing a post on where to find the best wide calf boots at all price points, so let me know if that's something you'd be interested in reading!
Lauren & I have been catching the most amazing sunsets while shooting photos in the evening over the past few weeks and while I love the idea of cooler Fall weather, I don't love the fact that it's getting dark earlier and that before we know it the sun will be setting before we even leave work and these perfect Fall sunsets will be a distant memory.
