Fall Skincare Routine

My Fall Skincare Routine with St. Ives

A few months ago I shared my Summer Skincare Routine and I got such a great response that I figured I would continue the series with my Fall Skincare Routine! In the Summer I can get away with using a light moisturizer, but once the cooler weather arrives my skin gets extremely dry and I need something rich and creamy that will keep it hydrated and protected against the harsh elements of the Northeast.

I've been really conscious about buying organic food and natural products so when St. Ives reached out to me to try their new Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion and Body Wash I was excited to find out that both products are made with 100% natural moisturizers, like shea butter and soy bean oil, and are paraben-free, hypo allergenic and dermatologist-tested and couldn't wait to see how they performed on my dry Fall skin.

Usually when the weather cools down my skin becomes very sensitive, itchy and red, but since switching to this body wash and lotion I'm happy to report that hasn't happened! I'm about two weeks into my Fall skincare routine with St. Ives and my skin has maintained that radiant healthy glow I had all Summer. It's going to be tough keeping my glowing skin under wraps all Winter...maybe a escape from the snow to the Caribbean is in order this year!

Fun Skincare Fact: Did you know you're suppose to moisturize as soon as you get out the shower while your skin is still damp in order to trap the moisture on it's surface? I found this helpful tip out recently and I can't explain how much of a difference it has made. With a winning cold weather skincare routine and this moisturizing tip you're guaranteed to have beautiful radiant skin right through to next Spring (& beyond)!
