Sometimes you need to take a break from the sparkle and sequins of the Holiday season in favor of more muted festive attired like a classic red coat and everyones favorite must have accessory of the moment, the blanket scarf.
Full Disclosure this is my first true blanket scarf. I own a few plaid scarves, but never felt the need to jump on the blanket scarf trend and while I liked some of the popular patterns I really didn't want to add it to my wardrobe. Then I saw this deep green and blue scarf and decided I couldn't avoid the inevitable and bought it! I've been getting a lot more wear out of it than I thought, not only is it perfectly festive for the Holiday season, but it's doubles as a blanket/shawl which was clutch when the heat broke in my office!

Since I work in a really casual office this is the type of outfit you can catch me in most of the time, but of course I'm upping the festive factor over the Holiday season with a bold lip and red coat. And usually by this time of year I'm bundled up in outfits much heavier than this, but since we are experiencing a ridiculously warm spell even an outfit like this is a bit much. I can't complain about the near perfect weather we've been experiencing, but I can't help but wish for a drop in temperatures because it definitely doesn't feel like Christmas ((& I'm going to be pissed if the ski resorts can't make any snow when I go away at the end of the month!))
