The Summer of the Scarf

If you thought scarves were only cool weather fashion accessories you thought wrong because Summer '16 was definitely the Summer of the scarf for me (no, but really...here, here, here, here). I somehow acquired about 10 different lightweight scarfs and have been wearing them in my hair, around my neck and tied to my bags all Summer! This big red hair bow might be a little much for some people (clearly not for me), but adding a scarf to your look instantly makes any outfit better! This basic black swing dress and lace up sandals look is pretty basic, but the addition of a scarf, some oversized sunglasses and a fun earring made it the perfect outfit to wear exploring the Bourbon Trail!

If you couldn't tell I shot these photos at Maker's Mark Distillery in Kentucky! I'm definitely not a bourbon drinker, but touring the grounds and seeing how everything is made was so much fun! I'll be talking a little more about our whole Bourbon Trail adventure in next week's Kentucky Photo Diary, but I couldn't wait to share these fun photos with you!
