Gold is my favorite metallic to wear in the Summer (actually it's my favorite metallic all year round if I'm being honest). Whether it's jewelry or hardware on a handbag or an amazing foiled gold eyeshadow like this I can't help but gravitate towards this shimmering metallic!
I've gotten a ton of new makeup to try in my mail over the past few weeks and this gold cream eyeshadow was definitely the product I was most excited about! I ended up setting this cream shadow with a powder shadow because I wanted it blended in my crease, but I've worn it on it's own and truly lives up to it's "long lasting" claim because it doesn't budge! And it's only $3 so you literally can't afford NOT to try it out for yourself!
Onto the new foundation I'm trying out! If you've been reading my makeup posts for a while you know that I'm not afraid to try new foundations but I don't always love them. Today I'm happy to saw that I really like the new Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick that Influenster sent me. It had great coverage, blended really great into my skin and didn't feel heavy or thick, but I'm not sure I would switch my current foundation for it. What I did love though is the Hourglass Foundation Brush!! It's made of the softest (PETA approved) bristles and blended my foundation so perfectly into my skin. I've actually be testing it out with all of my foundations this week and it works great with all my mousse and cream foundations so I'll definitely be keeping this brush around!
Makeup Monday 24K Gold Eye Makeup Tutorial:
- Prep face with Garnier Skinactive Ultra-Lift Miracle Wake-Up Cream (c/o). Apply Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick (c/o) to face with Hourglass Foundation Brush (c/o). Conceal under eye circles with Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer.
- Apply e.l.f. Baked Bronzer in Los Cabos (c/o) to hollows of cheeks and around hair line. Apply blush shade 7 from BH Cosmetics Nude Blush 10 Color Blush Palette (c/o) to apples of cheeks and blend.
- Apply shade M4 from Smashbox Full Exposure Palette (c/o) from lash line to brows. Apply e.l.f. Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Toast (c/o) from lashline to crease, then apply Buxom Eyeshadow in 24K Stilettos (c/o) over cream shadow and blend in crease. Line upper lashes with Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner. Apply 2 coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara followed by Ardell Faux Lashes. Groom and fill in brows with BH Cosmetics Ultimate Brow Palette (c/o).
- Set foundation with matte shade from bareMinerals Translucent Powder Duo (c/o), highlight cheekbones, inner corners of eyes and under brows with glow shade.
- Apply e.l.f. Lip Balm in Nude (c/o) to lips to finish.
