I need more eyeshadow like I need more holes in my head, but these new Buxom shadows showed up at my door and once I opened the package I couldn't wait to use them. When I was younger I used to think all shadows were created equal, but after trying my fair share of different brands and types I can definitely say that is definitely not true. These Buxom shadows are not only highly pigmented and give off intense color payoff, but I just found out they're primer-infused which makes them virtually budge proof, especially when they're layered over another eye primer. I wore these shadows to a wedding in 95 degree weather last weekend and I was extremely impressed that they didn't crease or smudge at all.
If you've read my Makeup Monday series before you know that I'm a lover of metallic eye shadows and if you're not you need to start wearing them now! Don't mistake metallic for shimmery or glittery...metallic shadows like these are light catching and perfect for highlighting and bringing all the attention to your eyes.
- Prime face with Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray (c/o) to prep skin for foundation. Apply MAC Pro-Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation to face with damp beautyblender. Conceal under eye circles with It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concelear.
- Using bareMinerals California Bronze Palette (c/o) apply The Ocean View to hollows of cheeks and around hair line. Apply Avon Blush in Coral Radiance to apples of cheeks and blend. Set makeup with Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (c/o). Highlight cheekbones with mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes.
- Prime eyelids with Julep Eye Primer (c/o). Apply Buxom Eyeshadow (c/o) in Diamond Darling to entire lid, 24K Stiletto to crease and outer corner, Bold Bling & Patent Leather mixed into outer corner and blend all colors together. Line upper lashes with Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner. Curl lashes with Sephora Show Curl Lash Curler. Prime upper lashes with Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer & follow with 3 coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. Groom and fill in brows with Benefit Gimme Brow.
- Line lips with Sephora Lip Liner in Pale Pink and finish with bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Color in Candy Pop (c/o).
