I'm doing something different for this edition of Room for Style, instead of doing a complimentary fashion topic to yesterday's decorating post, I'm introducing you to the creative mastermind behind my Room for Style series, my mom! She not only writes all of the decorating posts that appear on the blog, but she's also the woman behind the camera for a lot of my outfit posts!
While I have a style all my own, it's no secret that I got my risk taking fashion sense from my mom, so when Naturalizer reached out and asked me if my mom and I wanted to style their Harbor boots I just knew I'd have to drag my mom out from behind the scenes and in front of the camera!
I've already worn these Harbor Wide Calf Boots about 4382348902 times since I got them (no really...here, here, here), but I'm stepping out of my comfort zone with this outfit and pairing my knee high boots with a dress. I love when other girls wear dresses and skirts with boots of this height, but without tights I always thought it cut my leg off. I figured I'd give it a try and love the way it looks!
These boots were made for walking (they're so comfortable!), but they're clearly also made to be worn with plaid! Our mother/daughter look isn't matchy-matchy, but it's safe to say we were clearly on the same page when we were getting dressed that morning.
So what do you think...should I drag my mom out from behind the camera more often and do more of these mother/daughter outfit posts?
It wouldn't be a mother/daughter post without some hilarious outtakes ((these aren't even the funniest, but if I posted those I'm pretty sure my mom would've disowned me))! It took forever to shoot these photos because I can never be serious and spent a majority of the time making stupid faces and making my mom laugh, not that she would expect any different.
