Like I mentioned yesterday I'm changing my Room for Style Series up a little by separating the Interior Decorating & Fashion portions!! Yesterday was ALL about
decorating using Complementary Colors &
today is ALL about styling an outfit using Complementary Colors!
A complementary color scheme offers stronger contrast than any other color scheme, and draws the maximum amount of attention. I'm generally a LOUD dresser so when my mom suggested this topic for this week's Room for Style post I was excited!
For the 1st outfit I pushed the limits with a purple dress paired with a neon jacket & fun multi colored neon pumps. This color combo definitely isn't for the faint of heart, but if you take the plunge you won't regret it! Can't wait to wear this look out one night when there isn't so much snow on the ground!!
For outfit #2 I tried to do more of a toned down style. Of course I took this
Prabal Gurung for Target red dress out of the package I knew it needed to be worn immediately. After I had the dress it was easy deciding what bag to pair with it. Green is red's complement on the
color wheel and this pastel colored crossbody was the perfect choice to make this outfit less Christmas, more beginning of Spring!
LOVING my
new Camera Lens!!! These pictures couldn't have come out more perfect!
