I know we've talked about this before, but holiday decorating in small spaces was one of my most popular posts from last holiday season so I figured I would follow it up with ANOTHER post filled with ideas on how to decorate your small house or apartment and make it as festive as possible even when you don't have a ton of space to do so! Just because you may not have room for a big tree or a million decorations doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your Christmas spirit! Here is just the inspiration you need to turn your small space into a festive Winter Wonderland!
Decorating starts at the front door, and a simple wreath and some small wrapped gifts in your entry is so welcoming. You might not have room for many decorations, but hanging a wreath takes little to no space! The best part is that if you get a real wreath you'll get that amazing pine smell you're craving without having a Christmas tree!
Another great way to make your home more festive is by swapping out your current pillows with festive holiday themed pillows! Another decorating idea that takes up little to no space so it's perfect if you're looking to decorate a small space for Christmas! These plaid pillows are super festive and will look great well into the New Year so you don't have to rush to "un-decorate" after the holiday is over!
Is a DIY tree not going to cut it? How about a Christmas tree on a smaller scale, like one in a pot or bucket that can go into a corner (and be moved easily if need be) or one that can sit on an end table, coffee table or even your dining room table! I promise these small trees are ever bit as perfect as a large tree!
Slim Christmas trees are another great alternative to having a large tree! Unfortunately you'll have to get a fake one because real trees don't exactly grow like this but they are perfect for someone with a lack of space for a regular sized tree! The best part about them being so slim is sometimes you even have room for TWO!
Now you have no reason not to deck the halls this December. That's why we're starting early to help you prepare for the season. Stay tuned next week where I'll be sharing what my Christmas decorations look like! Need more Holiday Decorating in Small Space Inspiration check out this post!
