I know what you're thinking...bundled up? This outfit is hardly a bundled up Winter look for someone who lives in New York. Well let me explain...up until this week we've had a pretty mild Winter and I just really couldn't bring myself to break out my heavy coat until it was absolutely necessary. We went from it being 70 degrees (that's not a typo) on Christmas Eve to a mild 50 degree early January to a frigid 25 degrees with 20+ inches of snow last week. These photos were clearly taken during that mild 50 degree streak. So truth be told "bundled up" when it's that hot is a cozy sweater and beanie!

Funny story about when I was taking these photos. The forecast called for zero rain, but when we started shooting the sky got black and it started nasty misting rain, then about 20 minutes later the clouds cleared and the sun came out. You can literally see the fine rain in some of these photos and the sun shining in others, and lets just say a lot of these pics were deleted the second they were uploaded on my computer because my hair looked like a frizzy humid wet mess...thank god for hats! And if you're wondering why the faux fur on this cardigan looks like a mess you know.
In other news, you need this sweater! I've worn it about 6 times over the past month and I can't get enough of it. It's super soft and drapes perfectly AND the fur trim comes off (not that I ever plan on doing that) so it's basically like 2 sweaters in one!! Garnet Hill really knocked it out of the park with this one! I'm also LOVING this black one!
