Whether you have big plans for Valentine's Day or not you still need that perfect date outfit in your closet! For me that's usually a fit and flare dress in a fun print with a great pair of heels and some fun jewelry, but today I'm stepping out of my comfort zone with this body con dress from
WalG! When I was browsing their site it was the first thing that caught my eye but I didn't think I could pull it off. Even though I know ruching does wonders when it comes to disguising areas of your body that you aren't that comfortable with I was still hesitant.
I decided to take a chance on the dress anyway and I'm so happy I did! I still feel a little self conscious about my hips in it, but overall I really love the way it looks on me. While I may not be wearing this dress out on a date this Valentine's Day (I'll be spending the 14th going to #NYFW shows and dinner with friends), I think I'm going to break it out for a big Carnevale party at the end of the month!
Remember in our last
#Styled6Ways post when I was talking about how it wasn't that cold in New York so bundling it wasn't necessary? Yeh, so I'm pretty sure I jinxed the entire state because as I'm writing this I literally hear the wind wiping the trees from inside my office and it's about20 degrees out (but feels like 10 when you factor in the wind). Thankfully when I shot these photos it was a little warmer because going outside right now with bare legs would NOT be happening!
